The "Thomas and Violine Haiti Relief Organization" was formed as a non-profit organization in honor of Thomas and Violine Vinelon who worked all their lives to help the people of Haiti. Their ministry began in the 1970's as they worked hand in hand with an American Evangelist by the name of Bob Jones. Together they worked tirelessly, caring for orphaned children, securing medical care, providing food, clothing, schooling and hosting missionary teams. Violine, affectionately called "Tini Winee" by Bob, was instrumental in forming the feeding program and caring for the children in the orphanage, while Thomas focused on securing buildings and running the organization. In 2016, Bob passed away and Thomas and Violine continued on with the work they had began so many years before. Sadly, Violine passed away in 2021 after a short battle with cancer but Thomas, along with the support of family members, has continued to with the same dedication and determination that both he and Violine had prior to her death. Thomas continues to manage, direct, and oversee the compound, workers, missions program, an orphanage, church, school, and plans for a new medical clinic.
